Tsutsujitei Kusatsu-onsen, Gunma

As a local folk song says, Kusatsu is worthwhile to visit once at least.

Tsutsujitei, this small, intimate inn is widely known for its first-class hospitality and located in Kusatsu, acknowledged to be the most famous hot spring in Japan. The Inn is constructed of two separate wings, each designed with its own distinct charm. The guest rooms are scattered within, on an extensive compound of approximately 16,500 square meters. More than half of this space, 9,900 square meters, has been left as a natural wooded area, for guests to enjoy the various flowers which bloom from time to time, while luxuriating in the onsen spa. What greater extravagance could there be?

Our guests, including gastronomists, dine in private rooms at the restaurant, Hana Kairo, and enjoy a fine Japanese kaiseki course, which changes monthly.

Fine spa, fine food, fine ambience. What more could anyone ask for?
