Kamenoi Besso

Yufuin Onsen, Oita
https://www.kamenoi-bessou.jp

Kamenoi Besso is located in the Yufuin Valley at the foot of Mount Yufu, a dormant volcano standing 1,584 meters tall in the southwestern part of Oita Prefecture. The rain and snow that falls around the mountains absorbs copious amounts of the Earth’s minerals, and seeps out of the valley floor as hot spring water. The amount of spring water is said to be
the highest in Japan.
Kamenoi Besso opened in 1921 as the villa for VIPs of Kumahachi Aburaya, who is known as the father of tourism in Beppu. Our inn features 14 rooms in cottages and six Western-style rooms in a forest of over 30,000 m2 on the shores of Kinrin Lake, which features a rare mix of spring water and hot spring water. Our property features meeting rooms and bathing areas for guests only, as well as a tea room, shop, restaurant and bar open to the public.
We work every day to create pleasant, restful experiences for our guests based on concepts that have taken root over our long history. We eagerly and sincerely await the opportunity to help each and every one of our guests enjoy a relaxing time in a tranquil atmosphere, to enjoy warm new connections and make peaceful memories.
